We’ve got a lovely vibrant #makeitmonday for you, using nature’s summery ingredients for inspiration. A simple but sumptuous scrub featuring nourishing Pomegranate Seed Oil, which helps stimulate regeneration of your outer skin cells by helping to replenish, nourish and revitalise skin that have been damaged by pollutants or ageing. We’ve also added honey powder, honey is said to be a natural antiseptic due to its tendency to absorb the life-sustaining moisture from bacterial cell walls. Honey attracts the dirt from skin pores and dead skin cells from the surface of the skin, therefore it is said to be a natural skin cleanser and softener.
Raspberry seed, desiccated coconut and Himalayan salt are used to exfoliate, the Himalayan salt is quite course so you could change it for a finer salt.
The dry ingredients are held together with water dispersible Shea Butter, it has all the properties of natural Shea Butter, but being an ester means it will disperse in liquid and not leave an oily mess in the shower or bath. Shea butter is a particularly effective moisturiser because it contains so many fatty acids, which are needed to retain skin moisture and elasticity.
Makes about 200g
1/2 cup Himalayan Pink Rock Salt
1 Tbsp. Pomegranate Seed Oil
1 Tbsp. Desiccated Coconut
1 Tbsp. Honey Powder
1 Tbsp. Raspberry Seed
2.5ml (1/4 tsp) Pomegranate Fragrance
Combine the Coconut and Honey powder in a bowl, add the Water Dispersible shea butter and pomegranate seed oil and mix well.
